In the car the other day, Katherine asked, “Mom, would you put on that song we heard the other day? The girl song, the one that goes “Sing a lettuce, Sing a lettuce?”
It took be about five minutes to figure it out. Think you can?

The Treadmill Has Arrived
November 29th, 2008 · 2 Comments
I have a treadmill in my bedroom right this minute. I’m very excited about using it and have already begun formulating my “treadmill schedule.” I’m thinking that I can use it every night if I want to, even if just for 20 minutes.
I wonder how long it will be before it becomes a clothes hanger.

I’m Not Even Kidding
November 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment
I’m getting up at 4 a.m. to be at WalMart for the 5 a.m. specials. And no, I’m totally not kidding. I’m hoping that I’ll burn off all that delicious Thanksgiving dinner by running around Wal-Mart, standing in line and fighting for deals. Wish me luck.
( And yes, there is an ulterior motive to my […]

November 25th, 2008 · 3 Comments
Before everyone heads out of town for the holidays and stops reading blogs (gasp!), I thought I’d ask you to give me a quick rundown of what you’re thankful for. I know, I know. Everyone is talking about that this time of year. But really, think hard about it and tell me what you come […]

Flat Stomach By Christmas
November 25th, 2008 · No Comments
The ads to the left over there keep advertising “How to Get a Flat Stomach By Christmas!”

We’re counting down to Thanksgiving around here. We’re looking forward to seeing my family, especially my niece and nephew, and enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. On Thanksgiving night, we’ll be excited to welcome the husband’s family into town, and we have a fun few days planned with them.
But what I’m really looking forward to is […]

Poor Planning
November 20th, 2008 · No Comments
This is so typical of me. For more than three weeks I’ve had “Katherine’s Helper Day” marked for today on the calendar. That means we need to bring a snack to school. You’d think I’d have planned ahead for this and marked it on my grocery list, too, but you’d be wrong.
So this morning, before school, […]
