My niece Zoe, who is four years old, spent the night with us last night. We had a great time, including a quickie trip to Wal-Mart wherein I decided that three children full-time? Is just ONE TOO MANY. The girls behaved beautifully ( they really are such good girls) but the talking. OH, the talking. […]

The tweets over there —> will return soon. I just have to get my tech guy to fix the problem I’m having since I changed my user ID. ( Hello, husband? Could you look into that?)
In the meantime, I’m having a busy, but relatively boring, week. Still doing the 30 Day Shred, which the kids […]

I signed Katherine up for two camps today. I hadn’t originally planned for her to do camps, but she has been asking me recently about “Cheer Camp.” I got the impression she didn’t know what that meant, but she definitely wanted to give it a try. Turns out, Cheer Camp at the Y also includes […]

Shredding it ( and I don’t mean lettuce)
May 25th, 2009 · 4 Comments
Did the first day of the 30 Day Shred today. It was quick but not easy, and gets you sweating QUICKLY. Definitely something that I could do once a day. I’m going to try to do the full 30 days in addition to three or so 40 minute cardio sessions.
Anyone tried the Shred? What do […]

I just finished scrubbing all of the kitchen cabinets and the cabinets in our half bath ( both the storage cabinets above the laundry and the bathroom cabinets beneath the sink). I also scrubbed the bathroom door while I was at it because I figured I might as well.
It took about two hours to scrub […]

Fixer-Upper
May 18th, 2009 · No Comments
We bought a fixer-upper when we got married and almost immediately found out we were pregnant with Katherine. Lots of the fixing up got pushed aside to make way for more important things like sleep and now here we are seven years later finally getting around to a few tiny little household things that have […]

Wedding tomorrow, freaking out today.
May 15th, 2009 · 3 Comments
I’m going to a wedding tomorrow night that will have lots of friends/family that I haven’t seen in awhile. I’d like to look nice, if not skinny ( there’s just not enough time for that!) so I pulled out my very favorite black dress today. Behold:
That’s me and my super cute mom. Check out how […]

Maybe not a popular opinion

But I feel badly for Jon and Kate, and their Plus 8. I know, I know. They ASKED to be on television. But with 8 kids and the offer of $75,000 an episode? I can’t say that I could refuse that.
And now the rumors of affairs and divorce are swirling and all I can think […]

So wrong
May 13th, 2009 · No Comments
Fresh Produce, a cute casual wear company, has now started making plus-sized clothing. Good for them, but do you have to call the plus-sized line “Extra Fresh?”
That’s just wrong.
